In a new step reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility, in Drive, the global smart mobility platform and the leading ride-hailing app in Egypt, today announced the launch of its innovative community initiative, "in Drive Max." Through the initiative, the company aims to transform users' daily rides and delivery orders into opportunities for positive social impact by allowing app users to earn Coins through their activities on the platform and donate them to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education for the children of in Drive drivers.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation and is designed to equip drivers' children with the essential skills needed for the future, including programming, digital literacy, critical thinking, the effective use of artificial intelligence tools, and problem-solving skills. These competencies will help them build the capabilities needed to succeed and thrive in an increasingly digital world.
The program's educational vision extends beyond traditional technology instruction. It also encourages children to apply their newly acquired skills to address real-world challenges within their schools, neighborhoods, and local communities.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop innovative projects, including creating digital tools and designing smart applications focused on improving schools and the educational environment, as well as developing practical solutions to everyday challenges. The program serves as a model for how technology can be harnessed to create meaningful and positive social impact.
The initiative is expected to benefit approximately 400 children of in Drive drivers across Greater Cairo, providing them with educational experiences that foster creativity, innovation, and self-confidence. While in Drive will fully fund the development and implementation of the program, the additional Coins donated by users through their rides will help expand educational opportunities and support additional participants.
Commenting on the initiative, Alaa Shalaby, General Manager of in Drive Egypt, said:
"At in Drive, we believe that every ride has the potential to create meaningful positive change within the community. Through this initiative, we aim to transform the strength of our community into real educational opportunities that empower young minds and help them develop the skills they need to succeed in the future."
Nagwa El Sayed, Head of the Scientific Research Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, said:
"At Misr El Kheir Foundation, we believe that investing in education is the most valuable investment in the future of coming generations. Through this partnership with in Drive, we aim to provide high-quality educational opportunities for drivers' children, enabling them to acquire programming, artificial intelligence, and innovative thinking skills that will help them meet the demands of the future job market and contribute positively to the development of their communities. This initiative also demonstrates the importance of collaboration between the private sector and civil society organizations in creating sustainable development impact and opening new opportunities for children and young people."
In Drive drivers in Cairo will receive an official notification through the app announcing the launch of the initiative. The notification will provide full details of the program, including its terms and conditions, and enable drivers to register their children to participate.
Through in Drive Max, the company continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting local communities by creating sustainable development opportunities whose positive impact extends far beyond smart mobility and transportation services.

As part of its observance of World Environment Day, Misr El Kheir Foundation organized an environmental event today, Friday, at a farm in Nubaria City. The initiative aimed to raise environmental and climate awareness and strengthen collaboration with organizations working in the fields of environmental protection and climate change, supporting the country's sustainable development efforts.
Dr. Ayman Hammad, Director of the Environment and Climate Change Program at Misr El Kheir Foundation, said that the event was organized to promote environmental awareness, encourage community-led initiatives, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), helping to ensure a healthy and safe environment for both current and future generations.
He added that the foundation also seeks to showcase a number of environmental projects to donors and investors interested in the environmental sector, with the goal of securing the funding needed to implement these projects in the coming period.
Dr. Hammad explained that the event highlighted several key environmental issues, including climate change, combating environmental pollution, preserving biodiversity, promoting the efficient use of natural resources, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility across all segments of society. He emphasized that the environmental projects adopted by the foundation are not intended to generate financial profit, but rather to raise environmental awareness and create a lasting positive impact on communities.
He also noted that throughout 2026, Misr El Kheir Foundation has successfully implemented several environmental initiatives, including awareness sessions for students in community schools, tree-planting campaigns at a number of these schools across Upper Egypt, and the development of a comprehensive plan to convert the foundation's administrative buildings to solar energy. This initiative supports the transition to clean energy and contributes to reducing carbon emissions.
Dr. Nada Mehanna, Environment and Climate Change Program Officer at Misr El Kheir Foundation, explained that the event featured a series of educational and practical sessions on smart agriculture techniques, including drip irrigation systems, the use of modern agricultural technologies, natural fertilization methods, and biological pest control.
She added that participants were also introduced to best practices for recycling agricultural waste, including using it as animal feed and repurposing tree-pruning waste into furniture and artistic products. In addition, the sessions demonstrated natural tomato-drying methods that do not rely on fertilizers or chemical substances, promoting the principles of the circular economy and environmental sustainability.
During the event, Dr. Hanan Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Chairwoman of the Good Caravan Association for Small Enterprise Development, said that the association has partnered with Misr El Kheir Foundation on several environmental development projects. These include a mangrove planting initiative in the Red Sea Governorate, covering the areas of Safaga, Marsa Alam, and Hamata. Mangrove trees are highly effective at absorbing carbon dioxide—up to four times more than many conventional plant species—and also serve as natural wave barriers that help protect shorelines from erosion.
She added that the Good Caravan Association also collaborated with the foundation on a beach-cleaning project along the Red Sea coast, where shorelines have been affected by waste generated by commercial shipping and tourism vessels.

As part of its ongoing efforts to reach remote border areas and within the framework of its medical convoy project aimed at delivering specialized healthcare services to the most underserved communities, the Misr El Kheir Foundation is launching a surgical convoy at Barrani General Hospital in the Barrani Center of Matrouh Governorate, starting next Tuesday. The initiative will be carried out with the participation of a distinguished team of consultants and anesthesiology staff traveling from Cairo.
Dr. Afaf El-Gohary, Head of the Health Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, stated that the foundation is always committed to providing surgical procedures and medical treatment to local residents, especially in border regions. She emphasized that the foundation’s presence in Barrani is part of its broader program targeting the most vulnerable areas and helping alleviate the hardships faced by low-income families.
She explained that Barrani was specifically chosen because of its distance from major medical centers. She noted that providing surgical operations for patients is a continuation of the medical convoys recently organized by Misr El Kheir in the Sidi Barrani area, including Qatrani and Nagaa Abu Milad, where patients requiring surgical intervention were identified. The surgeries will be performed over a three-day period at Barrani General Hospital in Matrouh.
Dr. El-Gohary added that this convoy is of particular importance because it represents a specialized activity that is carried out only periodically and requires extensive preparation and coordination. Given its direct impact in delivering advanced surgical services to eligible patients in remote areas, the convoy will perform more than 30 surgeries, including general surgery and ear, nose, and throat (ENT) procedures, all free of charge.

Refaie expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the donors who helped achieve this record-breaking result for this year’s campaign, saying:
“Together with our donors, we succeeded in spreading the joy of Eid al-Adha among those in need through the distribution of sacrificial meat. This year, the number of beneficiaries exceeded 2.15 million people across Egypt, in addition to the donors’ own shares.”
He emphasized that this achievement reflects the high level of trust donors place in the foundation, alongside Misr El Kheir’s strong operational capacity to reach the largest possible number of eligible beneficiaries.
