in Drive Launches Community Initiative with Misr El Kheir to Teach Drivers' Children Programming and Artificial Intelligence
29 June 2026In a new step reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility, in Drive, the global smart mobility platform and the leading ride-hailing app in Egypt, today announced the launch of its innovative community initiative, "in Drive Max." Through the initiative, the company aims to transform users' daily rides and delivery orders into opportunities for positive social impact by allowing app users to earn Coins through their activities on the platform and donate them to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education for the children of in Drive drivers.
The initiative is being implemented in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation and is designed to equip drivers' children with the essential skills needed for the future, including programming, digital literacy, critical thinking, the effective use of artificial intelligence tools, and problem-solving skills. These competencies will help them build the capabilities needed to succeed and thrive in an increasingly digital world.
The program's educational vision extends beyond traditional technology instruction. It also encourages children to apply their newly acquired skills to address real-world challenges within their schools, neighborhoods, and local communities.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop innovative projects, including creating digital tools and designing smart applications focused on improving schools and the educational environment, as well as developing practical solutions to everyday challenges. The program serves as a model for how technology can be harnessed to create meaningful and positive social impact.
The initiative is expected to benefit approximately 400 children of in Drive drivers across Greater Cairo, providing them with educational experiences that foster creativity, innovation, and self-confidence. While in Drive will fully fund the development and implementation of the program, the additional Coins donated by users through their rides will help expand educational opportunities and support additional participants.
Commenting on the initiative, Alaa Shalaby, General Manager of in Drive Egypt, said:
"At in Drive, we believe that every ride has the potential to create meaningful positive change within the community. Through this initiative, we aim to transform the strength of our community into real educational opportunities that empower young minds and help them develop the skills they need to succeed in the future."
Nagwa El Sayed, Head of the Scientific Research Sector at Misr El Kheir Foundation, said:
"At Misr El Kheir Foundation, we believe that investing in education is the most valuable investment in the future of coming generations. Through this partnership with in Drive, we aim to provide high-quality educational opportunities for drivers' children, enabling them to acquire programming, artificial intelligence, and innovative thinking skills that will help them meet the demands of the future job market and contribute positively to the development of their communities. This initiative also demonstrates the importance of collaboration between the private sector and civil society organizations in creating sustainable development impact and opening new opportunities for children and young people."
In Drive drivers in Cairo will receive an official notification through the app announcing the launch of the initiative. The notification will provide full details of the program, including its terms and conditions, and enable drivers to register their children to participate.
Through in Drive Max, the company continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting local communities by creating sustainable development opportunities whose positive impact extends far beyond smart mobility and transportation services.
