Misr El Kheir, a Member of the National Alliance, Announces Reaching More Than 2.15 Million Beneficiaries During Eid al-Adha
15 June 2026Dr. Mohamed Refaie, CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation and a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, announced that the foundation achieved a strategic breakthrough and record figures during its 2026 Eid al-Adha Sacrifice Bond (Sak Al-Adhiya) campaign. He attributed this success to the foundation’s efforts in transforming donations into an integrated system that enhances food security. He noted that the foundation’s current vision goes beyond simply providing aid, focusing instead on efficient distribution and fair access for those in need through accurate and regularly updated databases.
Success Thanks to Donors in Spreading Eid al-Adha Joy
Refaie expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the donors who helped achieve this record-breaking result for this year’s campaign, saying:
“Together with our donors, we succeeded in spreading the joy of Eid al-Adha among those in need through the distribution of sacrificial meat. This year, the number of beneficiaries exceeded 2.15 million people across Egypt, in addition to the donors’ own shares.”
He emphasized that this achievement reflects the high level of trust donors place in the foundation, alongside Misr El Kheir’s strong operational capacity to reach the largest possible number of eligible beneficiaries.
Focus on Efficient Distribution through Accurate Databases
He added:
“This achievement places an even greater responsibility on us to continue and intensify our efforts in serving Egyptian society and contributing to sustainable development.”
The foundation’s CEO also revealed details of the carefully planned timeline implemented to deliver meat to beneficiaries and distribute donors’ shares. He explained:
“We began the distribution of sacrificial meat to eligible and most vulnerable groups from the first day of Eid al-Adha, and distribution operations continued intensively through the fourth day. This was carried out through a wide geographic network consisting of thousands of partner NGOs, ensuring that fresh and safe meat reached beneficiaries as quickly as possible in 1,890 villages across Egypt within just four days.”
Distribution of Donors’ Shares
Regarding the timing of donors’ share deliveries, Dr. Mohamed Refaie highlighted the foundation’s commitment to providing each donor’s share in accordance with the approved Islamic guidelines for the Sacrifice Bond. Each bond includes 27 kilograms of meat, divided as follows:
- 18 kilograms allocated to beneficiaries.
- 9 kilograms allocated to the donor.
He noted that starting from the fourth day of Eid al-Adha, the foundation began distributing and delivering donors’ and sacrificers’ shares, amounting to 9 kilograms of pure local beef per bond. Distribution will continue over the coming days, either through collection from the foundation’s branches or home delivery using a fleet of refrigerated vehicles and modern thermal bags to ensure the meat reaches donors in the highest quality condition.
