Cooperation between Misr El Kheir and King Salman International University to engage students in community services

Misr El Kheir Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with King Salman International University to implement a range of activities and events on a large scale. The signing of the memorandum of understanding was witnessed by Dr. Ashraf Saad Hussein, President of King Salman International University, Muhammad Abdul Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of Misr El Kheir Foundation, and Dr. Saber Hassan, Head of Education Sector, who signed the protocol on behalf of Misr El Kheir Foundation. Dr. Ashraf Saad Hussein, President of King Salman International University, said in his speech during the signing that the memorandum of understanding is a step on the road to cooperation with the "Misr El Kheir" Foundation to maximize the desired benefit for university students through student grants, as well as community service and environmental development through training, qualification, and advisory opportunities. The university has both academic and applied experiences, and the institution has long-standing and distinguished experiences in civil and community work. For his part, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Managing Director of the "Misr El Kheir" Foundation, said that the memorandum of understanding signed with King Salman International University aims to set the general framework and outlines of cooperation between its two parties in implementing many volunteer activities for students and participating in community events. He pointed out that the memorandum of understanding between "Misr El Kheir" and King Salman International University included the field of scholarships, in addition to cooperation in the field of scientific and academic publishing of topics of common interest, and cooperation in the field of educational loans. The deputy managing director of "Misr El Kheir" explained that the memorandum included cooperation between the two sides in preparing, organizing, and implementing "meetings - meetings - workshops" and cooperation in the fields of advertising. And the declaration regarding areas of joint cooperation. The memorandum of understanding also stipulates that the "Misr Al-Khair" Foundation will provide the opportunity for university students to participate in the volunteer work and community service work implemented by the "Misr Al-Khair" Foundation throughout the year, with the student being given a certificate stating the number of volunteer hours to benefit from when applying for scholarships or the like with Implementation of new voluntary initiatives to encourage students to volunteer in line with the activities of the "Misr El Khair" Foundation's programs, as well as cooperation in training youth for employment, especially training youth in the fields of desert agriculture, technology industries, tourism, hospitality, arts, and design. Abdul Rahman pointed out that King Salman International University will provide a discount of up to 20% of the expenses for courses approved by the University's Board of Trustees, provided that the number of students in the program is not less than 20 male and female students. These programs are "Desert Agriculture, Technology Industries" Tourism and hospitality, arts and design, administrative and business sciences, veterinary medicine, nursing, and pharmacy, with the addition of any other new fields. For his part, Dr. Saber Hassan, Head of the Education Sector at the "Misr Al-Khair" Foundation, said that the cooperation between the Foundation and the university is the widest in what it includes in the activities and events of the "Misr Al-Khair" protocols with various Egyptian universities, as this cooperation is of great importance due to what it represents. King Salman University is of importance, especially since the university is located in three major cities for the governor of South Sinai: El-Tur, Ras Sidr, and Sharm El-Sheikh. In addition, Sinai is one of the governorates that the state gives special attention to through special programs for the development of its residents and providing the necessary educational, health, and social services. Hassan added that this memorandum reflects the continuous cooperation between the Foundation and Egyptian universities to implement an ambitious program to serve the community in all fields, whether related to the educational process, scientific research, innovation, or health, which is to maximize local capabilities in serving the community in its various categories. He pointed out that the cooperation between the two sides allows the provision of scholarships to outstanding and talented students of Egyptian high school graduates to encourage them to excel further and to prepare a generation of young people capable of collective service. It also represents support for the students' families to help them bear the expenses of the educational process. Hassan explained that the "Misr El Kheir" Foundation signed many cooperation protocols with prestigious universities and educational institutions in Egypt, such as: Zewail City for Science and Technology - Galala University - Badr University, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the Egyptian National E-Learning University - the Japanese University - Misr University For Science and Technology - CIC Canadian Institutes Group, and that a number of other cooperation protocols are being prepared with many other universities with the aim of activating the role of universities in serving the community, and maximizing the benefit that accrues to the community sectors from the cooperation of the Misr El Kheir Foundation with its many and varied experiences and programs that serve different groups With the various universities of Egypt in all parts of Egypt to represent the highest forms of integration between the sectors of society to benefit from the capabilities of its children. After signing the memorandum of understanding, Dr. Ashraf Saad Hussein, President of King Salman International University, made an inspection tour for the representatives of "Misr El Kheir" to get acquainted with the university's activities and the various services provided to students.
